A New Women's Fashion Line...Just for you!

But we need your help in deciding the name of it! Vote to the right!

To help, we try to describe it here....It is a new women's contemporary line with a bridge price point to be sold in stores like Barney's Co-op, trendy boutiques (Eva, Opening Ceremony, Butter) To describe the line, here are some words:

"ironic, light-hearted, elevated casual, tom-boyish/not too feminine"

Designers in the same genre might be Philip Lim, Twinkle.

Celebrities who might wear these clothes could be Kirsten Dunst, Sienna Miller, Chloe Sevigny, Gwen Stefani.

Does this help? Write some other name ideas in the comments section...

World Cup Goalie burned (Hope Solo)

Why do coaches tinker with something, when all is going right? If you didn't know, the US just lost to Brazil in the Semifinals of the Women's FIFA World Cup in China, snapping their 51 straight game winning streak. A big reason is b/c the coach decided at the last second to switch out his goalie for a legacy goalie, Brianna Scurry (someone who shared in their previous successes but is now much to old to be a professional athelete at 36).

I applaud Solo, the goalie that was pulled, for stating her mind when asked her thoughts of being replaced without any logical reason. She had shutout her opponents in 3 straight games leading up to this big game!! Something to be learned here.

CSI One Liners

I think this is hilarious and I don't even watch this show. So many one-liners with the shades being pulled on by Caruso.

And then Jim Carrey doing David Caruso on David Letterman!

We Have to Take Our Clothes Off!

that song is so catchy! We hung out last night at Marquee for the Gym Class Heroes afterparty.

Big shout out to Dan, my cousin, for getting us in. Also shout out to P, G-Star. Never been there before, but it is fun. Pretty good music, bottle service, "Party Like a Rock Star." Gym Class Heroes I guess performed at Pace Univ. Random! Saw Travis on his Apple laptop - whatup.

Bitter bankers!

i get these emails all the time. enjoy the read.

Subject: Sorry everyone

I'm leaving the bank now.

I'm not made to do this.

If I put my mind to something as much as I do hereto mindless text editing, copy and pasting, and getting yelled at for stuff
other people can't/won't/don't do, I would be much better off.

It's 6:43 a.m. on a Sunday, and I have at least 14 more hours of work to do today that will not be fulfilling, useful, appreciated, recognized, or paidfor.

Sorry this is last minute, but it's just not worth doing more
My blackberry is on my desk
Apparently that failed staffing request was fatal (no, not as in I'm going tokill myself, hehe,

I'm just going to go enjoy life). There is no happiness here. I took all my personal stuff. No one needs to contact me for anything (except for a drink for those of you with my personal number).

I will only be at my New York address a few days longer.

Good luck y'all,

The Harrison

It has to be one of my favorite restaurants in Tribeca. If you're ever in my hood, come on down to this solid performer.

Went there tonight and had some duck breast(sisis). Relativity Cabernet Sauvignon 2001 was the wine of choice. Awesome.

The Hills...update!

Another jam-packed episode of The Hills (the best show right now).

Whoa, that was crazy. Jason drops the bomb that he not only has a girlfriend (Katja) but is about to move in with her. LC gave the "WHAT??" look. Did you ever notice she raises her voice to some annoying level when she is not being sincere?

Too bad. She's like the tough-luck chick.

Red Jumpsuit Apparatus? Is Justin-bobby in this band? They are really annoying people. This has to go onto my new music blog:

http://augmentedmusic.blogspot.com

Heidi goes wedding dress shopping with annoying person #1 - Jen. She drives me nuts.

Anyone been at The Dime in West Hollywood?
LA answer: "Oh yea, been there. Live around the corner from there. Last time I was there, I ran into (fill in celebrity name). My friend reps him/her from (CAA/Gersh/WMA)."

Spencer Moment: not into being engaged while at Crate.

Biggest Moment: Jason gets engaged, after 6 months dating. Hope that is not alcohol in your red cup, buddy!

Saigon Grill

This is an institution. They have one way up around the 90s and Amsterdam, but we visited the one in Union Square tonight. It is a solid performer. Thai Iced Tea pretty good as well.

Tom and Jerry's and Eugene

Do you have a lot of friends who are into sports? I guess Sam is a big sports guy. He said, "I know, it's weird. I'm small and skinny and you wouldn't expect it from me..." funny dude. We had a good conversation about Fantasy Football.

We met up with Eugene before sending him off to more training at a place in NoHo called Tom and Jerry's. It's sad, really, that he is just in training and I have already worked 3 months. Wish I had more of a summer!

D, J, and friend from Indonesia came through too. Shout out to Bali!

Shout out to Pak for some advice on Fashion. Eugene - keep in touch bro.

Alvin's new pad

We also took a drive by Alvin's new apt in Williamsburg, right across the street from McCarren Pool and Park. We're hoping he gets to move in soon. Here are some shots of the brand new construction 1 BR.

Tacos...again!

Yes, we went back to brooklyn/red hook for more tacos, huraches, ceviche, mangos with red pepper, and even some corn! Delicious. NO LINE FOR TACOS! I realized that everyone gets in line for huraches and quesadillas, but not for tacos. But it's counterproductive since there is only one grill. I also was impressed with the non-Mexicans in line ordering in Spanish. (no, not just saying the food item). Made me wonder why I don't know Spanish. oh yea, it's because I took Latin in high school. Thanks for nada!

Oriental Spoon - Yummy

This is a pic of Danny's office above.
Anyway....

ORIENTAL SPOON! GO EAT THERE!
That place is great, and sad since they are not getting love since they are in the back of a very popular Ramen restaurant (1st Ave and 8th St). Even Japanese people eat there! What the??

The back restaurant (Oriental Spoon) is actually Korean owned. Gotta support them.
Great dishes, good sake, good times.

Oh yea, and our conversation reminds me that I don't like how LA "works."

Clinton St Apt - much improved

Hate to say it, but the Lins old apt is now greatly improved by the handy-work of Pak. That guy drills into brick walls to make shelves! He also had a really cool hanging light fixture and created more storage space.

He also told me he had to vacuum up hairballs of Az for 2 straight days and he is allergic. THUY! What's up with that? ha ha ha.

He also is pimping out a 40-inch flat screen tv. Damn, can a brotha hook up the electronics!

But hey, it's different, so NYC misses the lins, right, Big Apple peeps?

Eugene is back in NYC

Hey, so we hung out at, (surprise) CRUDO last night on Clinton between Stanton and Rivington.

Wait, why are we here? Aren't we always here for the Lins? Thuy - we missed you! Yea, it was like he never left. That was cool. Some dude actually really looked like Justin and Danny slapped him on the back. Whoops! Don't you hate that when someone does that?

Here are some pics. Big shout outs to Jon & Joan heading off to HK to join the Lins, Ronaldo, Brody (that's his last name), Sethi (who thought it was weird to sit next to me 1-on-1), Danny, Angie, Ling and Pak, Preetam, DJ Yanna.

Crif Dogs

Hey, as a follow-up to the fast food, here is Crif Dogs in the East Village. I guess there is a speakeasy in the back. Thanks for the heads-up, Jenn!

Fast Food

Not to say that's all we talked about at lunch, but we did mention some crazy fast food inventions.

For example, the 4x4 in california (at Fat Burger? In-N-Out?). I guess it's 4 beef patties in one sandwich. sounds disgusting.

Also, someone mentioned a burger with polish sausage on it. Wow.

In addition, someone mentioned a hot dog with bacon wrapped around it with cheese and chili. Can you even imagine how you would feel after that?

I had to shout out Arby's. Man, i miss that place. I believe it's in the Manhattan Mall, but i gotta say, suburban fast food just tastes better!

More Hills

It was great - today I went out to lunch with 3 other guys from the office and we dissected The Hills, especially the Spencer character.

I guess Brody is super rich b/c his dad was a famous athlete, and his step-mom is loaded as well, used to date Elvis.

We think Spencer is either a genius (has us all going) or just really is that shallow. What a creep.

Audrina was no-vote. One person commented that when you look into her eyes, she looks dumb.

Whitney is hands-down favorite. I guess she didn't want to get too involved in the show. This went into how the conversations that she has with LC are so contrived, it's painful.

I guess they are all getting paid around $15k-20k per episode! nice living. No wonder LC can start her own line. (like everyone else...)

We all think Justin-bobby is the loser. One quote = "I hope I run into him. B/c then I could pop him in the face." wow. still unsure about what he does, or anyone for that matter!

best personality = Lo. she's hilarious.

what is black? what is white?

Jesse Jackson Slams Obama for “Acting Like He’s White” in Jena 6 Case
September 19, 2007 11:10 AM

ABC News' Jonathan Greenberger and Susan Caraher report: After Rev. Jesse Jackson described Sen. Barack Obama as acting "white" following Obama's response to the racially charged "Jena 6" case, Jackson Wednesday reaffirmed his support for the Illinois senator's presidential bid.

'[Obama] has remarkably transcended race," said Jackson. "However the impact of Katrina and Jena makes America's unresolved moral dilemma of race unavoidable. I think jena is another defining moment of the issue of race and the criminal justice system. This issue requires direct and bold leadership."

The State newspaper reported Tuesday Jackson saying at South Carolina's Benedict College,"If I were a candidate, I'd be all over Jena."

Last week, Obama issued his first two statements on the case, which involved six black teenagers who were charged first with attempted murder, then battery, after their actions in a schoolyard brawl left a white teenager with a black eye and concussion. The first of the six teens to be tried was convicted in July of aggravated battery and faced up to 15 years in jail. He was due to be sentenced later this month, although his conviction was overturned by a Louisiana appeals court last week.

In those statements, Obama called the case a "tragedy" and asked the district attorney to drop what he called "the excessive charges brought in this case." Obama later praised the appeals court’s decision in overturning the first teen's conviction.

But when Obama was asked about the case a week earlier, on Sept. 5 at a campaign event in Storm Lake, Ia., he appeared visibly uncomfortable by the question and said the teens “appear to have been railroaded into a very difficult situation” but would not say what remedy he hoped to see in the case.

"My staff is right now looking into the details of the case to see potentially what role the federal government would have in sorting through and in providing justice there," Obama said at the time.

So what is "white" and what is "black?" Discuss

The Hills - with class?

The show is great - drama, mama. Spencer is the biggest dopehead on earth. What a cheeseball - can anyone believe anything he says? "What an aaangel."

LC clip on camera

UEFA - Manchester United

Man, now that the UEFA Champions League has resumed, I can't help but be saddened that our Korean counterparty, Ji-Sung Park, is not playing due to injury. Expect him to return sometime before the end of the year. To relive a moment, though, from last year...

Korean Food - Seoul Garden

We really like this place, Seoul Garden on 32nd St. Going to go there with our buddies, Lance/Amelia - should be a delicious event!

You can check this restaurant out and others in Manhattan by visiting UpNext at:

http://www.upnext.com/

(you owe me, D).

UPDATE:

It was awesome. Shout out to the Lovettes!

Hiegl? Hiegel?

Funny how they messed up her name when she won the Emmy award.
She corrected it when she got on stage.

Apparently, even her parents didn't think she was going to win...

"Heigl, who originally announced while accepting the award Sunday that her mother didn't think she'd win, told DeGeneres that her mom did say: "I love you and you're always a winner." "

Also - there's been a big hoopla as to why the censors were out in full force during the Emmys. Must be because CBS is going through the whole "Boob-gate" controversy with Janet Jackson and JT's "i'm going to grab a piece of your outfit off" dance move. Can never be too careful!

The blog has begun. here's where you can stay updated on those Tribecan Suhs and the uninteresting musings that you have sadly stumbled upon.
