David Gregory is a great dancer!

David Gregory, Washington Correspondent for Today Show, is notorious for his dancing on musical acts visiting the show. He was really good when Chris Brown came...here he is with Mary J...

Tila the return!

Off the wires....After taking A Shot at Love, MTV is now saying, That's Amore. The channel has greenlighted a spinoff of its hit reality competition series A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila, which ended its run at 10 p.m. Tuesday with a whopping 6.2 million total viewers tuning in to make it MTV's most-watched series telecast.

Oops I Did It Again...Another Spears is pregnant!

Props to ABC News for breaking this story - 16 yr old sibling of Britney Spears is prego! Jamie Lynn doesn't even have a large career yet (she is a mild star on Nickelodean), but she's going to have a baby! Yikes.

It must be something in the genes.

I love this part: Jamie Lynn plans to raise the baby in her home state of Louisiana "so it can have a normal family life."

Tila chooses Bobby!

I swear, that Bobby looks like he could be hangin' in the Rockaways or something. I have to admit I did not follow this show, but I had an inkling Tila would choose Dani instead. Tila apparently is from Houston, TX, but fled to Queens, NY when she was 16. She is also a former gang member of a hispanic gang in Houston. What's up with the Vietnamese gangstas from Houston?

A-Rod is a hero

He really is since he did not take steriods and he won the MVP. But he defends Barry Bonds' record. Booo.

Michael rocks The Knicks...

Can you believe he did his dunk during a real game?

MJ in a fight with Reggie Miller

Remember this one? Ahhh, the memories...

Johnny Red Kerr calls it a "bruhaha."

WGA Strikers - please come back!

We all now hope that WGA strikers stop striking - especially b/c the digital media revenues you are fighting over are so small it doesn't even matter!

And, we'll be subjected to this!! (Clash of the Choirs!)

The Hills Parody - James Franco

Big up to C for the clip!

Rex Grossman is a coke head??

I have heard that Rex Grossman is a coke head...And you thought those interceptions were just from being "inconsistent." HA! Now I know why he plays better in the "snow."

Should i cry for him? ("sniff sniff")

The Hills - the update! Finale has come

Wow, were you just as disappointed as I was with this finale? Talk about completely unsatisfying. There are some burning questions, but before that, let's do a quick recap.

Whitney is the golden child and gets chosen (again) to go to Paris. Funny, b/c you figure their scary looking boss is really into teaching LC a lesson. (Anyone really annoyed at that punk kid who is going with Whitney to Paris? If you see him on the street, kick his butt just because of the way he talks). But hey, how convenient that after she gets off the phone that LC gets the chance again. Maybe that is the theme - second chances?

This dovetails nicely into Spencer and Heidi's drama mama. Ever since his sister surfaced there has been more trouble for these two wanna-be TV stars. Spencer is COMPLETELY useless. He does nothing. He wants to be a millionaire by the time he's 30. But he probably already is, which is why all he does is sit around and read books on the CIA, plays solitaire on his laptop, or thinks that spraypainting walls is an artful way to display his sensitive side.

LC and Brody. where do we begin? Brody has shaved his head to mimic the "hard-core" LA kid, even though we all know rolling around in daddy's Range Rover is not "hard-core." Jigga what? LC has a really annoying way of talking when she's with him. This must mean she really likes him. It is so obvious. But what do you REALLY think will happen while LC is in France hanging out with men designers while Brody is calling up one of the 100 hoes on his iPhone.

That's it? huh? Are LC and Brody official? Heidi showed up to the after-party without Werewolf and was not wearing the ring. What's up with that? I hear Audrina trashes LC behind her back - does she just act friendly for the cameras? Justin-Bobby has reached legendary status - have you recognized him on the street asking you for some change to get into the subway? What about Whitney? Oh i get it...we have to WAIT until next season...yea ....yea, got it. Too bad, the cliffhangers were not as strong as I had desired....signing off till next season!

Say Goodbye to New York

Yet another couple of friends are leaving New York and tonight we bid farewell to J & J. Sutra was the hot spot - the DJ did play M.E.T.H.O.D. Man, which was a nice highlight. Hey Chinatown J - are you alive today? You spilled a lot of pinneaple juice on a lot of peeps!

Stardom has finally hit! j/k...but seriously, check out this month's Rolling Stone Magazine and you might recognize a face or two in there...

Ok, we made it easier for you...check it out here. Shout out to cuz D for gettin' us in.

Tracy Morgan...Chi-town

I like this clip - shows how "crazy-genius" this Tracy character really is...

The Hills update! (Brody is a slut part II)

In last night's episode, Brody hands over his iPhone to LC to prove he has nothing to hide. It's sort of like handing over the evidence that you're guilty…like when your mom asks you to open your hand when you've just stolen a cookie. As LC gets through the directory, she finds Blonde Canada Whore listed. Nice. It's like the white boy's list of hoes…much like Peety Pablo in "Freak-a-Leek." Nobody wants to take the plunge, and therefore, LC will remain single for awhile.

Meanwhile, Spencer Werewolf and his conniving sister (who may be able to grow as much facial hair as her brother) head over to a card store to pick up the invites. But wait! Werewolf finds out Heidi may not even be ready to get hitched! A blow-up happens and Werewolf blows out of the room…we all know she could do better.

Audrina meetes a boy from down under. Girls are such suckers for an accent (but never an Asian one). Think about that one.

White Boy - with a soulful voice

Anyone know Josh Groban - he's totally geeky looking but has this crazy soulful voice. Sort of like James Blunt. I popped by Good Morning America on Fri morning to see him sing a Christmas Carol - with a total church choir back-up and asian orchestra. I guess the theme this year is racial reconciliation (or confusion?).

Asbirin (not Aspirin)

Went to a pretty cool cajun' place with my cousin and his friend...they had a really interesting bottle of Asbirin (not Aspirin) - kind of like a bottle to help you get to hotter food. Their whole side of the restaurant was lined with a variety of hot sauces.

Had a catfish po boy spicy sandwich. Awesome!

Nascar in Times Square!

I'm the last person that knows anything about Nascar, but apparently Jimmie Johnson won something big this year and his impressive car was for some reason on display in Times Square. I think the points system in that sport must be the most confusing thing for anyone to follow! Did you know that more people in America watch Nascar events on TV than they do NBA basketball?

Zoom zoom zoom.

Justin-Druggie gets dumped - The Hills update

Yes, let's all take a moment and cheer for Audrina for finally dumping the no-good useless drugged out, coke-filled almost boyfriend of hers, Justin-Bobby, who I believe sleeps with homeless people for fun on the weekends and considers personal hygiene a disease in itself.

LC stand her ground vs. Spencer's sister, who is clearly capitalizing on her 5 seconds of fame on the show. She must have been doing jumping jacks of joy when she found out her brother was dating the main girl's best friend of the show. Come to think of it, isn't that why Spencer Werewolf is actually dating Heidi in the first place? It sure doesn't seem like he does much else except surf the internet and act insincere.

I like how they call out Frankie as Wilmer V wannabe. yea baby. yea.

Virtual DJ

Ever want to relive your days as a college DJ but don't have the room (or funds) for turntables, serato software, and a brand new Mac Notebook? Have no fear, check out Virtual DJ software. It is a ton of fun and allows you (on a very limited basis) to create your own mixes! A free trial download has had me hooked for awhile now.

The Hills - update!

The long awaited update on the Hills!

Justin-bobby is hilariously disgusting. He burps more than he speaks! Can a guy get a shower please?

Huge showdown between LC and Heidi. Heidi refuses to fess up that she knew about Spencer's hateful rumor-spreading ways which is the ultimate hinderence of them moving fwd on their friendship.

"Forgive and forget" usually is used in the situation where someone forgives another and then forgets the wronged action to move forward in a friendship. LC should take a look at this reference since she said she wants to forgive Heidi and then forget her. Huh? Yo LC, stop saying, start learning!

Someone get Whitney a boyfriend already!

Tillman's - 26th St

There's this cool bar/lounge that really belongs in Harlem but is in the Garment District on 26th/7th Ave called Tillman's. It's got a real nice retro-cool feel with really good hip-hop/live DJ, and a great ginger beer drink. Checked it out with R & L. We were serviced by a waitress who was half Israeli/half Indian...now that's New York!

DJ Cousin

Yes, my cousin DJ-ed at a Rolling Stone Magazine party. He is livin' the life! Later on, Pete Wentz DJ-ed while my cousin was his "hype" man. Pretty fun stuff to see. What is it with my family and music/entertainment?? "Ay Bay Bay!!"

Camels in Manhattan!!

I was walking in midtown and couldn't believe my eyes - I saw a couple of camels! This is so random. Probably one of the most random things I've seen. I guess they are brought in for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular which apparently is really great.

Jay-Z baby

Went to the Jay-Z concert on Sun. Whoa. That was awesome. Shout out to Will for coming with his friend. Some idiot was throwing dollar bills from the balcony. Weird. Funkmaster Flex from Hot 97 did the set before Jigga came out. He loves playing hits from the 90s. Like "Whoa" by Black Rob to Wu-Tang hits. He called the Soulja Boy song "cute." Thought that was funny.

Here are a few songs performed by Jay-Z:
Pray
I Know
I Just Wanna Love You
Where I'm From (Marcy son!)
Encore
99 Problems
Hello Brooklyn (with Lil Wayne!)
I Get Money remix (with Diddy!)
Big Pimpin (just 1 verse)
Show me what you got
Jigga What/Jigga Who
Intro (Allow Me to Introduce Myself)

Paris Hilton loves Koreans!

See here! Paris Hilton loves hanging out with Koreans! What is she doing in Korea? Shout out to J for getting us this pic!

Wonder if she has either (a) crashed a car, (b) hit up a club or (c) found the paparazzi!

Start your own blog

Here we see everyone crowded around as Jon picks the craziest blog name based on his Chinese name. Indeed, his first posting was about his poor wine tasting...D is only interested in ice cream. Angie made great linguine with clams! Delicious! Well done!

Flo in da house

Caught up with an old college friend tonight with her man of 9 yrs! That is serious commitment! Checked out Azafran in my hood. Had to say, wasn't as satisfied as I was before...but it was really fun and good times. Sangris was mad sweet. Gambas were great! No paella option. huh?

She's only in NYC for another 2 weeks. Enjoy it!!

Jordan, Ewing, or Barkley?

This is a story from my friend. It is great.

"So my buddy is a waiter @ BLT steakhouse on 58th where the ballers roll out the black card (Bill & Hillary; Harrison Ford, Donna Karan) So this past Saturday, guess who walks in Jordan, Ewing and Barkley. So my boy is their waiter for the night and overhears them arguing about who had the better career field goal percentage. MJ was like "you know it has to be me" Ewing was like "nah I'm pretty sure it was me" Barkley was like "for a fat boy I wasn't that bad" So my boy was like why don't you out some money on it. They all look at each other and then they were like "why not?" So each one of them pulls a G out on the table. So 3 G's are sitting on the table. My boy goes down stairs to check the net and then he comes back to the table. They're all looking at him anxiously and my boy looks at MJ and Barkley and he says, sorry, "MJ you might have won 6 titles and 5 MVPs" and Charles, you might have won the 93 MVP" but I'm happy to say as a life long Knick fan that Patrick has the best career percentage." MJ flips out is like "hell no, I don't know what site you're looking @ but I know I have the better percentage record." Patrick gives my man daps and he's pulls MJ's G off the table and tells my man that MJ is paying for this one and pays $800 and gives my man a $200 tip. At that point MJ is pissed and mushes Ewing in the head as Barkley is laughing his a$$%% off @ MJ."

More Pickles...The Pickle Guys

Just walked by a place called The Pickle Guys on Essex. Interesting place. Wonder what that girl who is so afraid of pickles would do walking by this place. My friend, D, ate a pickle here during a pickle festival. Yes, there is a pickle festival...I'd like to check it out when it's open. Right in the heart of the hardcore Chinatown (east/LES Chinatown)...

Capsouto Freres - glorified wedding food

Capsouto Freres - French Bistro - this is where we and D & J went out to dinner last night. D & J will probably never, ever, ever come out to the west side for dinner anymore b/c they got lost and could see the New Jersey while trying to find this restaurant (on Watts/Washington St in Tribeca). When we finally met up, we ordered a Beajoulis - tasted like chilled fruit juice! Not too bad though, b/c a drink is a drink.

Had an arugula salad - boring. Had lamb shank - probably the best dish out of all of us. The best part is the blueberry crepe for dessert. highly recommend.

Overall, not so hot on this place, would never go back. And the other thing, everyone was 50 years old or older. There was a table of 4 ladies (around 45-55 yrs old) sitting next to us for one of their's birthday. It's like a Sex in the City Reuinion being filmed in 2010.

Tennis players love Coke!

And not the drink! Does this look like a coke sniffer to you? How can you play world-class tennis while doing coke? Who else is doing coke in the professional world of sports?

Are you sick of the Bee Movie blitz?

I like Jerry Seinfeld. Everyone does. How could you not? But I am really getting sick of the promotion of this movie! And I bet it's a great movie too!

I even picked up a Bee Movie pail outside my work b/c they had the premier on 66th St. But I hear the animation is supposedly amazing!

Let's go Rangers!

Went to my second hockey game in my life yesterday night. It was fun, although I barely watched the game. Rangers fans are crazy. They start to get into fights in the stands with EACH OTHER. I think they really wanted to watch a fight on the ice, but it has been discouraged this year.

Ok, let's face it. Hockey is one of those sports I know nothing about. That...and cricket. What is "icing"?

Catchin up wit the family

Caught up with my brother at my alma mater - Northwestern Univ, where he is a sophomore. Ahhh, visiting campus again was awesome. I realized how old I look now compared to those crazy college kids. Have you seen this kid dance? He is awesome! Best of luck, P!

Blue Ribbon Sushi

Blue Ribbon Sushi is a great find on Sullivan St. Highly suggest the lobster with miso butter. Yum! Stay away from the rolls - taste fresh, but nothing special.

Highly recommend, as long as the wait isn't too long! Sake in boxes - yes!

Halloween

Last year I dressed up as Kim Jong-il in a double beige outfit with big glasses and hair teased. It was a bomb (no pun intended). Angie is much better with her costumes. I was actually really impressed with someone's costume last year as a goth guy. Didn't even recognize him when I saw him! I think I should've carried around a big nuclear missle to improve the costume...what will you be this year?

If you live overseas, are you still going to celebrate Halloween even though nobody will know why you dressed funny?

Hulu launches...sort of

It's in beta. you can ask to be signed up. For those who don't know, it is the long-awaited syndication play for NBC and Fox. NBC folded nbbc into this JV. wonder how it will do? Does this mean we can't get clips anywhere else (as evidenced in NBC ending their relationship with Apple's iTunes recently)?

Blogs get money

Curbed, an NYC-based real estate blog, has raised $1.5 million in funding, after being in existence for a few years now. The site was founded by Lockhart Steele, who previously was managing editor of the Gawker Media blog network (Curbed was founded prior to Steele joining Gawker and he went back to it after he left). Nick Denton, Steeleâe™s boss and Zach Nelson, CEO of NetSuite, a maker of business software, and Brad Inman, founder and publisher of the real estate news service Inman News, are among the individual investors. Gawker Media also invested.

If you're into real estate in NYC, check this blog out. It is great and at times, quite funny.

New Shows

Well, now that I've had a chance to watch some of the new TV fall shows, I gotta say that the shows from last season are still on tops. Heroes has gotten a lot better. And COULD get a lot better if they got rid of the really annoying Mexican pair trying to cross the border with our resident evil, Sylar/Gabriel/Mr. evil look as the scene is ending.

30 Rock continues to be hilarious. I really like the character, Kenneth. he is hilarious. reminds me of a friend. And the indian dude (assistant to Jack) is getting funnier.

The Office is great this season. We need to bring back some drama for Jim. Maybe bring back his ex?

I think Tracy Morgan is really crazy. I think they had to call him Tracy on the show b/c he probably wouldn't respond to another name.

Pushing Daises is the front runner for me for Best New TV Show.

Journeyman anyone? Life? Cain? Bionic Woman? When is Project Runway coming back? really sick of the spinoffs...want the real deal with Heidi Klum!

The Hills -update

LC and Whitney were in NYC on a whirlwind trip through Teen Vogue. It really makes people in NYC look really mean. Especially the super-stylish mean gay guys that work at Teen Vogue. Snobbery rules i guess. Poor Whitney...she is really a nice girl.

Brody takes a huge hit in my book for trying to be LC's man-whore. It is tough to fill the role of a friend who is constantly accusing people of back-stabbing and holding grudges. Watch out Brody - you're next!

What's next for this show? I predict a major cat-fight between Heidi and LC. Brody reconciles with Spence/Werewolf. Whitney...does nothing. again.

What's up with Wall St?

Is it me, or are all the banks (except for Goldman) getting NAILED with the recent fallout in the CDO or asset-backed markets? Just read Merrill took a writedown of >$8 billion. This is mind boggling. And yet the Dow is hitting record highs. Fed will probably cut rates soon. Google is on fire, Facebook is valued at $15 billion and Apple keeps on its stratospheric pace. Bonds hurting, equities happy, housing looking shaky (except for NYC of course). I guess we'll see how it all shakes out (as B of A announces layoffs as well as Morgan Stanley).

The Hills - all a lie!

It is disappointing but it is becoming clearer and clearer that this show is less "Reality" and more just a show! As referenced by Perez Hilton:

Picture 1 is during her date with boring dude model Gavin

Picture 2 is post date when she just got off the phone with Brodie.

Note the different nail polish color / hair curlier. Wow. What can you believe anymore?

Go Griese

Watched a great Bears comeback (97-yard drive) on Sun via Sling box. Quality is ok, really depends on the streaming ability of your internet connection. This is the best and lowest cost solution to watching out-of-region games on your computer. My buddy, B, set his laptop up to a projector, so it was a much better experience than huddled around a computer.

Adios Sam

My buddy, Sam, is moving out to LA to work for Universal Pics. Best of luck! He is a native New Yorker (born and raised here) but I really see him doing well out in LA. Persians rule that city, ya know!

Party time at Gramstand (shh!)

Boozes have made themselves into the unique teas served up in the evening hours at Gramstand. Live band, great service. Pretty interesting combos and tasty (13th St/Ave A) but you need to get invited to know when the next one is. Hopefully, you're connected.

don't know how it feels, but my buddy just did it and it has got to feel gooood! Congrats!

Nobu 57

Anyone like Nobu? I went to the newest Nobu in New York, Nobu 57. Pretty nice setup. Lot more spacious than the original one in my hood on Franklin St. Something sort of missing from the grand midtown experience, but the food is just as good. I highly recommend the Yellowtail with Jalepeno appetizer. Niiice.

They have these giant sake bins stacked on top of each other in dramatic fashion...

And a cool upstairs seating section.

The Darjeeling Limited...please try to be cool

Is it weird if that I'm annoyed at people who think you're not cool if you don't like The Darjeeling Limited? Wes Anderson? Jason Schwartzman? Sophia Coppola? It's like not liking Wilco or something. You are banned from being cool...Williamsburg will hate you.

ok. i'm over it.

LEROY JENKINS!!!

There is a phenomenon about Leroy Jenkins. Leroy joins your MMOG team in games like World of Warcraft, and then goes kamikaze, ruining all the careful planning to kick butt or accomplish the team goal.

Leroy Jenkins spin off...

ABC News Now

I know, it's really wrong to do this, but this is just as painful to watch...

Howard Stern and ABC News Now

Yes, as you know, ABC News has launched a new all-day news channel, ABC News Now. Here, Howard Stern talks with Chauncey about appearing on a new gossip show on the channel. I believe the saying is, "bad press is good press" or something like that...

Click to hear music file

Afraid of pickles?

This is crazy...

dekk is the new spot

Hung out at dekk again last night. That place is so chill and so close to our place, it is becoming our default hang out place. Fun time catching up with W and P. Lot of laughs. W is seriously in love with Curb Your Enthusiasm...only liked the 1st season and fell off after that.

Also got FIFA 08 for the Wii...can't wait to learn how to play this complicated game!

Sad...closing Augmented Music Blog

Unfortunately, I am shutting down my other music blog due to lack of firepower. Maybe someday I will re-open or even start another one on another topic. The good news is that this blog will start to contain more pop culture/music references and you might find some more info on sports musings as the NBA begins. More variety all at one place. You've found it! New Look and Feel!

Mussels at Petite Abeille

We checked out Petite Abeille in Tribeca with my cousin, D - angie got the mussels.

Long live belgian food!

George Clooney and Budweiser?

How is it that Bud got George Clooney to do the voice overs for their recent commercials? This also is in the same camp as how Jay-Z did a promo of his new album through a Bud commercial for his ill-fated "Kingdom Come" CD - probably one of his worst CDs as of late. He also somehow tapped the NASCAR crowd by getting Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Danica Patrick for his video, "Show Me What You Got."

I guess everyone has their price.

This is more like it...

The Hills Update - Brody is a slut!

This Brody guy is so nice, but if you think about it he's such a slut ...gets blamed for starting the sex tape rumor via Jen via Heidi. Drama in da hizzle fo schizzle.

Brody is really not being straight up. He knows who did what and finally fesses up. His alliances are now with LC, not Werewolf (aka Spencer) or Heidi...

Whitney is always saying she went to sleep at 10pm. Does she have a life? Someone ask her out or something! Argh.

Jen is such a gossip. She's one of those girls that say, "I hate to say this, but..." I give her props though b/c she steps to Heidi, who is falling deeper and deeper into her own world.

Did Spencer really do it though?? Gives off a really evil smile. (good job editing, MTV)!

Go U!! NU!!

Wow - 2 thrilling 2OT victories in a row for the Northwestern Wildcats!!

The Beach!

Getting to a beach, even though it's October, is just awesome. Some photos...65 degrees is actually not bad! Go LI!

Log Wars! Southampton style.

Lamb Shanks!

Last night we had some great lamb shanks courtesy of J and Angie. Thrown in there were leeks, carrots, mashed garlic, white wine, homemade herb butter (smashed against the bone).

However, we had a problem b/c our oven wasn't working!! AHHH!! So, we found a crazy awesome grill outside with 3 seperate burners. After some research, we created an "oven" environment by turning off the middle burner, keeping the side ones on low and roasting the lamb shanks for 2.5 hours. Let me tell you - it was worth the wait and more! Delicious.

But wait, there's more! The potatoes we baked were stuffed with some cigar-rolled pancetta filled with piece of sage, sliver of garlic and lemon zest. Wow. Speechless.

To top it off, I would highly recommend Provenance Vineyards 2003 Merlot from Napa Valley to complement the complex tastes of the food.

Phew! Dig it.

Hamptons Weekend

Ahhh, the stars really shine here out in Southampton. Clear night, I saw a shooting star!

Before this, we drank some Rioja and Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon. I highly recommentd Root:1' Cabernet Sauvignon. Yummy.

Sometimes it's nice to enjoy NY - not NYC. Highly recommend. But the lady we are renting from is really talkative! And we didn't have hot water here for awhile. Ghetto? luckily, she fixed it for us, so it's all good. But I was too impatient and took a cold shower.

We also played some tennis for the first time in a LONG time. It was awesome weather to do that too!

No Hills this week!

Stay tuned for coverage for next week's new episode. In the meantime, i've been watching Life and Heroes on NBC. Dont' really like How I Met Your Mother. Anyone like any new shows this season? Pushing Daisies? Bionic Woman?

Flashback Sound

Anyone like the Gwen Stefani song - Cool? It was from her Love Angel Music Baby album a couple years back, but it reminds of me of a totally 80s feel. maybe it's a remake? It seems that this is the case as well with Nelly Furtado's Do It. 80s feel. remake?

For more thoughts on music - check out my other blog at http://augmentedmusic.blogspot.com

The Kingdom

Saw The Kingdom yesterday...thought it was decent. Jennifer Garner kicks some booty. She should get more screen time in future projects now that she has had her kid. The star was undoubtedly Jamie Foxx. Got to hand it to him - he makes it really enjoyable. How much does he make per movie now? $20mm?

Luca lounge and Grease ball

You know what it feels like when you meet a tool? It's pretty funny. This dude was trying to talk to me and my buds and saw Angie and asked her if she knew us. The background is that this guy was a creep while we were all in b-school and he just couldn't help himself. He's totally eyeing Angie the whole time he's talking to us dudes. So, finally he takes the leap into this conversation

Grease: "Do you like kids?"
Angie: no response
Grease: "Do you like P?"
Angie: no response / shrug
Grease: "Do you know Kenneth?"
Angie: no response
Grease: "Is he your boyfriend?"
P: "husband"
Me: roll eyes

awkward....
Take the grease to the curb!

Brookyln

I went to check out VH1 HipHop Honors Panel series in Dumbo with my buddy, R, and we both thought Tribe Called Quest would be there. But alas, it was just these industry people talking about hip hop and culture. We walked into Andre Harrell talking about what was ghetto fabulous - which he said was Louis Vuitton. (ouch).
They were selling some good DVDs on street culture and b-boys. Wish I could dance like that!

Souped up car...flashback!

Check out this car I saw parked down my street. Reminds me of those hard-core Asians souping up their Acura Integras or Honda Preludes. Ahh, now they only have to play "Back to the Hotel" by N2Deep with the deep bass. Check out the spoiler! The rims! The tints! yes!

The Hills...update

What is the deal with LC? She really repulses a lot of people and has even gotten on the nerves of her best bud, Audrina. Mainly b/c of her deadbeat mute boyfriend - Justin/Bobby. Loser.

What's great is Elodie. She administers such sweet sweet revenge on Heidi. Did I tell you that she was on my friend's softball team in LA? She looks like she could really put a hurt on a softball!

Elodie lies and says she'll cover Heidi for the Emmy's while Heidi shamelessly goes on her anniversary dinner at some crappy Mexican restaurant.

I really dig the fact that Spencer really does nothing and is beginning to resemble a young bushy Teen Wolf character with his unsightly facial hair.

Frankie is also beginning to become an annoying character. But I like the objectivity of Brody in assessing people's relationships. Somthing to be learned here? Nah. Not unless you like to put a colored custom-fitting cast on your broken pinky. ha ha

UPDATE - clothing name discovery

We have added "Option A" as another choice to the right. Feel free to re-vote. You can actually vote for more than one name. Really enjoyed and appreciated the feedback so far. Will come to a decision by end of the weekend (hopefully)!

3 years and counting!

Tonight we celebrated our 3rd year anniversary. Had dinner at Esca! I gotta say the wine was better than the food. Does this piss anyone off out there? Grilled Octopus was great though!
My expectations were too high. French Laundry, Babbo, Morimoto (in Philly, NOT NYC), Per Se all solidly beat it.

A New Women's Fashion Line...Just for you!

But we need your help in deciding the name of it! Vote to the right!

To help, we try to describe it here....It is a new women's contemporary line with a bridge price point to be sold in stores like Barney's Co-op, trendy boutiques (Eva, Opening Ceremony, Butter) To describe the line, here are some words:

"ironic, light-hearted, elevated casual, tom-boyish/not too feminine"

Designers in the same genre might be Philip Lim, Twinkle.

Celebrities who might wear these clothes could be Kirsten Dunst, Sienna Miller, Chloe Sevigny, Gwen Stefani.

Does this help? Write some other name ideas in the comments section...

World Cup Goalie burned (Hope Solo)

Why do coaches tinker with something, when all is going right? If you didn't know, the US just lost to Brazil in the Semifinals of the Women's FIFA World Cup in China, snapping their 51 straight game winning streak. A big reason is b/c the coach decided at the last second to switch out his goalie for a legacy goalie, Brianna Scurry (someone who shared in their previous successes but is now much to old to be a professional athelete at 36).

I applaud Solo, the goalie that was pulled, for stating her mind when asked her thoughts of being replaced without any logical reason. She had shutout her opponents in 3 straight games leading up to this big game!! Something to be learned here.

CSI One Liners

I think this is hilarious and I don't even watch this show. So many one-liners with the shades being pulled on by Caruso.

And then Jim Carrey doing David Caruso on David Letterman!

We Have to Take Our Clothes Off!

that song is so catchy! We hung out last night at Marquee for the Gym Class Heroes afterparty.

Big shout out to Dan, my cousin, for getting us in. Also shout out to P, G-Star. Never been there before, but it is fun. Pretty good music, bottle service, "Party Like a Rock Star." Gym Class Heroes I guess performed at Pace Univ. Random! Saw Travis on his Apple laptop - whatup.
