Was at a digital media event tonight and saw that MC Hammer was to attend. The funny thing is that he had a name tag just like all of us....Except his first name was written as "MC." Does that mean I was supposed to call him MC? (I didn't).
He was there to promote his website, http://www.dancejam.com
Once I saw him roll in (sans entourage), it was like in slow-mo. I had flashbacks to the old cartoon that he used to have - wasn't that called "Hammertime?" Anyway, I talked to him for a bit. We covered subjects like his new website...here are some tidbits...
On Dancing with the Stars: "Yea, they've asked me to do it every year since they started the show. But what would that say about me as a dancer when someone like Emmitt Smith would win? That would say that I'm just as good as Emmitt Smith. And that wouldn't be good for me or my image."
On America's Best Dance Crew: "We've been talking to those groups on the show. JabbaWockeez. Yea!"
On DanceJam: "It's the ultimate dance website. You can upload your own videos and you can dance and the online community can vote for their favorite dancers. MTV wanted to buy it already, but I'm not for sale yet."

the fact that he wrote you from his iphone really shows the impact you made on him. I wouldn't want to email all the people I met at a networking event on my iphone, only the important ones!
