Capsouto Freres - glorified wedding food

Capsouto Freres - French Bistro - this is where we and D & J went out to dinner last night. D & J will probably never, ever, ever come out to the west side for dinner anymore b/c they got lost and could see the New Jersey while trying to find this restaurant (on Watts/Washington St in Tribeca). When we finally met up, we ordered a Beajoulis - tasted like chilled fruit juice! Not too bad though, b/c a drink is a drink.

Had an arugula salad - boring. Had lamb shank - probably the best dish out of all of us. The best part is the blueberry crepe for dessert. highly recommend.

Overall, not so hot on this place, would never go back. And the other thing, everyone was 50 years old or older. There was a table of 4 ladies (around 45-55 yrs old) sitting next to us for one of their's birthday. It's like a Sex in the City Reuinion being filmed in 2010.

In its defense, the restaurant is in a really nice landmarked building. so the space is kinda cool. My duck was not bad. But in agreement, i would not go back.

i was going to say something that would be interpreted as unappreciative and dare i say, mean?? the place was fine...but will probably not return until we are 65. perhaps our tastes will change by then? or are we just insuffrable foodies?
